THE WORST STAY EVER Husband and I just visited this weekend using a Living Social Deal. Big mistake, believe the reviews from past guest. This place is nothing like the pictures. Disappointing stay My husband and I stayed here with a group for the weekend. This facility is really not set up to host groups such as ours. The sitting room is very small with a well WORN couch and chair. There is a very large dining area if you want to sit in a straight chair for the evening. We had dinner...

disappointing We were with 19 friends so, therefore, we rented all the rooms. At check in, innkeeper very friendly. Rooms were too hot the first night and no heat the second night. Afraid to use the wall heaters since they did not appear to be safe. Tom said they were more expensive to operate and would appreciate leaving them off. All...

Very Disappointed I was under the impression this was a Bed and Breakfast but it is not! It is a "lodge". Do not book your reservation thinking that you are going to be waited on and pampered. You will not see much of the inn keeper! Room was very hot one night and very cold the other. No thermostat in each room....one...

What a disappointment We spent 2 days at the Grandview Lodge after Thanksgiving, a little vacation added to the holiday. First, it was advertised that it had wireless internet. But we were informed that it didn't go as far as our room. Don't know when the room was last vacuumed, but the closet floor was covered in small green pebbles. It's pretty chilling...

And they call this charming My trip to the Grandview Lodge was nothing like I expected it to be. Dont get me wrong, the people were friendly and very helpful (except the male chef) but you have to have more then a friendly smile and a sweet southern accent to run a Bed and Breakfast. They cancelled my reservation I just wanted to report an incident with the Grandview lodge in Waynesville. I made a reservation there 3 weeks ago for a room on July 6th and 7th. after receiving a confirmation on June 1 and received another email yesterday stating they cancelling my reservation.
