A loud but good experience We decided to give Dodies a try...we've been to the other Dodies restaurants in Dallas, but this was our first time here. We went on a Sunday evening and were a little surprised at how loud the place was...it is a killer sound system, but seemed over the top for a Sunday evening. The food was good, I wouldn't say...

Love it This is my second time here. The first time I regretted not ordering a cajun menu item, so this time I wasn't going to miss out. We started with some gravy fries and bloody mary's. Not healthy, but so so good! We then ordered a pitcher of sangria which was wonderful and shared the Pasta Monica with crawfish. Great flavor!...

Loved it We had 15 people after Mass. They only had 2 wait staff on duty while we were there but you never knew that. Our waitress was WONDERFUL. I didn't get her name but she was a tall slim blond who knew what she was doing! We had no wait and the food was hot and soooo good. I am from...

Slow service - cold food At here before a concert at the Allen Event Center. There was no crowd & we waited forever to be waited on. Once we ordered, it didn't take all that long to get the food. Part of my food was HOT & delishious. The other part was cold (temp wise) & so spicey hot that I sent it back &...

Went again tonight - our favorite seafood in Dallas bar none We've been coming to Dodie's for years. It's right down the street in our wonderfully fun, hip, eclectic Lower Greenville neighborhood. It is not only the best Cajun restaurant, it's the best seafood. We've tried them all - and always come back here. We have never had problems with the wait staff. They are friendly and accommodating. I love coming...

Old location is the best The new spot is a drinking and snack spot. The original further down Greenville has the full New Orleans menu including the best soft shelled crap po-boy's in town. Great catfish, shrimp, etc.

Shnazzy little party spot Kids are perfectly okay, but definitely oriented more toward the late-night bar and party crowd as the evening goes on. Food was good; my mother LOVED the raw oysters. Good beer selection... If you like stouts, try the Abita Turbodog for sure! Funky place with interesting Cajun decor and good grub.

Loud and salty Seafood comes from the ocean, so it carries with it considerable amounts of salt. Dodie's adds a significant amount of salt to any food item on the menu, seemingly to convince or remind the guests that this food originates in the ocean. Orange juice given to my son was not drinkable, a mix of concentrate which stank like rotten oranges....
