I love Rita's. It's the kind of modest restaurant that's easy to overlook. It's located right of the Interstate 10 in a low-income neighborhood that only diehard foodies are willing to explore. Oh, what so many people are missing. The family-owned restaurant is decorated with large photos of legendary Mexican movie stars and historical figures (Pedro Infante; Pancho Villa). Pretty good stuff Rita's is one of the better Mexican restaurants in Phoenix-- it's not the best, but it's a long way from bottom-of-the-barrel! They do an excellent green chile burrito, and they're enchilada sauce tastes 100% homemade. They also use a nice bland Oaxacan cheese that doesn't over-power the food, but lends a nice fatty texture to everything. The salsa tends to be a little watery for my...

The location is off the freeway. their food is not bad but i can find the same kind of food in a restaurant near by my house for less expensive. I won't come back
