Worth the scenic drive there. I had the best chicken enchilada ever and beans spiced just right. Please don’t change your recipe, it was perfect. Service was great, with the owner stopping by to check on us, and the atmosphere is quaint and rustic. Love the dog friendly deck too and being able to sit in the sunshine and mountain air.

We had such a wonderful experience at Wondervu Cafe! The service was genuinely friendly and impressively fast — our server made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. The food was absolutely delicious — everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite or a relaxing meal, this place is a hidden gem worth the trip. Highly recommend! We’ll definitely be back soon. A spur of the moment decision resulted in a u-turn to eat here, instead of braving the parking and crowds in Nederland. My friends and I were glad we did…this restaurant has been around for half a century, give or take, and its comfortable booths are reminiscent of a vintage diner. Hidden gem. The owner greeted us and checked on us throughout our lunch. The food was fresh and cooked to perfection. I appreciate the smaller menu so there's more attention to the details of what's available (quality over quantity). Beef enchiladas are not on the menu but they happily made them upon request. You got the house margarita half pint and bacon cheeseburger and a pizza. It was all really good. I was honestly impressed on the quality. It was a bit pricey, but considering we were all the way up in the mountains and it was This or a sandwich with chips at the bar below we opted for this. Server was very kind and friendly. atmosphere was really nice too clean establishment. I never got the servers name, but she did a really good job white chick young glasses.
