We drove about 20 minutes just to try the BBQ here, and overall it was definitely worth it. The area itself is really nice — charming old town atmosphere and a beautiful place to walk around. We ordered the Burnt Ends and mac and cheese. The BBQ had really good flavor, very juicy, and you could tell it was smoked for a long time. Personally, it was a little too soft for my taste, but still very good quality meat and definitely worth trying. The mac and cheese was okay — probably around a 3/5 for me. Came to the Poway location on a Sunday at 12:30 pm, it was quite busy but after our meal, we were the only ones left. Parking was pretty chill, there was a lot and also lots of street parking. You order inside, there are no tables inside, only tables outside. I ended up ordering the 3x3 which has 1/4 lb of pulled pork, 1/4lb of brisket, 2 pieces of chicken, 3.5 oz. of mac n' cheese, slaw, bean crack, and a slice of white bread. First off, the pork and brisket are good and I will return. I ordered the 3x3 and was shorted meat. The pork and brisket combined weighed 5oz. I called to say I was shorted and whoever answered was pretty sassy. Yeah dude I weighed the meat and it was light. Your a BBQ restaurant not a salad shop. Slop that meat with a heavy hand. The food was good especially when it comes to the meats, especially the chicken and pork belly is what stood out to me. The brisket was also good... The prices like everywhere else is it worth the trip? If anything for the pork belly but I also hear they got good burritos
