The patio door was open for our evening event (not sure why it was) which made the room cold. However the environment was great, the food was good, and the ambiance was nice. Will consider this restaurant again when I am in Santa Fe again during future Legislative sessions.

Rio Chama was a perfect location for a large private dinner presentation. Their downstairs dining room (elevator accessible) was beautifully decorated. The food was phenomenal and service was professional and efficient. We will be back!

We ate outside which was lovely. While my husband enjoyed his sea bass my NY strip which was ordered medium, which should have had a pink inside, was cooked medium well. I did have to send it back and the restaurant manager did agree with me and returned the steak with a new one including fresh sides. The NY prime steak was tough, gristly and their definition of medium must have come from a different culinary definition because it was grey around a raw middle. I could not send it back again. My wife and I had a fantastic meal. The coconut shrimp and corn chowder were excellent. The entree of 8oz filet was cooked perfectly and the creamed spinach was the perfect side. My wife had the Chilean seas bass and lived it. Our waitress was excellent. Great meal!
