Can't rate the hotel, just went to the casino. But the casino was good. Although overall I lost some money, I had a great time and it was worth it. We also got some ice cream and that was a great value. I view gambling as entertainment. Although I lost some money, I had fun and was entertained. I lost money going to arcades back in the 80's but I had fun because I was entertained. It was fun and I'll go again when I'm back in Minnesota.

Concert goers: You have options. Take them - book anywhere else. Plus: Clean room with beds. Cons: It’s less hotel and more 1970s lava lamp decor inspired casino. The steady security presence on the rim of the casino and into the hotel is unsettling when you’re just here for a live show down the street. Not the vibe we’re looking for. There’s no way they have enough buses to shuttle all the guests from the hotel and any one of the other 19,000 headed to the venue who want to park in the lot for a free ride. Visited here 2 nights for a conference. My first trip to Mystic Lake. To start, valet was fast and friendly during my arrival. Check in was very smooth and friendly, they also accommodated my request of a high floor. Room and bathroom were both super clean and new looking, I was in the promenade tower. Kind of bummed to see the construction when we walked in. We drove three hours one way to stay here and paid a good price tag. Construction everywhere so not a good representation of the hotel. Speaking of construction, loud drilling, and banging started very early around 6 AM and stopped around 10 AM after we were already up for the day and had listened to it for four hours. We spent a very large amount of money at the hotel, restaurants, casino and gift shop and were treated very poorly by hotel staff. First off we stayed in the presidential suite and came here for my husband’s birthday weekend for a getaway just the 2 of us. Our air conditioning didn’t work at all in our room had to call the front desk several times to try and get a maintenance guy up here and wasn’t even offered a new suite or anything.
