Absolutely love the food and the staff at Miss Crispy Rice.. I had an 18 hour layover in Miami and was hoping to get into Miss Crispy for a last minute dinner before I departed (I used to live in Miami a year or so ago and have been thinking about the Omakase menu for ages!). Ada at the front was able to squeeze me in earlier than my reservation time for a 14 course Omakase! And Andrew, the owner, had such great energy. Miss Crispy Rice is an absolute gem. We went for Miami Spice and were blown away — the quality of the seafood was excellent, and the menu was truly special (they even had a dish with Uni, which is rare for Miami Spice). The team was very accommodating, happily switching out a plate since we don’t eat bone marrow. Went for Miami spice dinner. First omakase and it was a 10/10 experience. Great service, great vibes, and the best crispy rice I’ve ever had (lives up to its name). Definitely on the pricey side normally (like all omakases seem to be) but the experience is fantastic. I tried flavor combinations I’d never tried before like lemon zest hamachi nigiri and snapper nigiri in plum sauce. Service was absolutely excellent. They were hospitable from the moment we walked to the second we left. Receptionist was a bit indifferent, but it was a short interaction. I think the crispy rice is better than most places, however The fish itself wasn’t anything extra extraordinary besides the scallop, which was amazing. Everything was fresh and made in front of you. Sushi Chef was nice and welcoming. This is definitely worth a try however, if you are a hard-core sushi enthusiast, there are better places to explore.
