Live Cuban music, friendly staff, great happy hour deal with great food! We ordered the chicken and rice from the dinner menu, the spinach empanadas, loaded nachos from the happy hour menu. We also had a key lime pie and Cuban coffee. Everything tasted amazing!! So glad we picked this place out of so many!!

Amazing food and perfect atmosphere! We sat on the upper patio — right next to the stage — and had a great view of the live music. The service was fantastic (thank you Edwin!!!). The New Yorker (whiskey sour) was one of the best cocktails I've ever had (old fashioned was delicious, too.) We had a long, leisurely meal and enjoyed every second of it. Highly recommend!

If you made a reservation here, you won't be disappointed. If you stumble upon it, you will find well-prepared, delicious food, refreshing drinks, pleasant + attentive service, and, hopefully, fantastic live music! Enjoy the best views on the street and top-notch people watching!

First time visiting, we wanted to try Cuban food and La Canita Beach was in walking distance from hotel. We had lunch and also got to enjoy the live entertainment from the band. It was raining, but we still had a nice view of South Beach from the open door windows. I would like to visit again in the evening on our next trip.

Amazing experience with Gaston. My wife and I loved the live music that drew us to dine in. Gaston was so friendly and recommended the beef empanadas and ropa vieja, which were delicious. The restaurant is cute and not too loud compared to others nearby with a party vibe. La Canita is the perfect spot for a romantic night out and the hostesses are not pushy like others down Ocean Bld. Highly recommend!!
