Food was excellent. Fish was great quality, everything before and after the nigiri and maki was wonderful as well. Price is definitely high considering what you get, but that’s more an issue with omakase in the US as opposed to Kado specifically. The service was outstanding, all of the team members were very friendly and knowledgeable, hit all the marks during service. The restaurant itself was gorgeous. We went for a belated Valentine’s Day and had a wonderful time.
3-Star Michelin Vibes — Without the Flight to Tokyo! Having dined at Jiro in Tokyo, I can confidently say this spot rivals that world-class experience — with a warmer touch and a staff that speaks perfect English! From the moment we arrived, the valet parking made everything easy (though I recommend taking an Uber if you’re doing the wine pairing… you’ll definitely want to savor every sip). It didn’t ruin the evening, but it... read more
This is, without question, the best sushi you can find in the Midwest. Every visit reminds me why it’s so special. The fish is always incredibly fresh and thoughtfully paired with sushi rice that’s perfectly cooked and seasoned. Each dish arrives on beautiful plates that enhance the presentation, but what really makes it stand out is the heart behind the food—you can tell the chefs truly care about bringing joy to people through their craft. Sitting at the sushi counter is an experience in itself. Watching the chefs work is... read more
The whiskey tasting bar was transporting in its atmosphere and intimate in its setting, and christened by outstanding service. The charm ended there however, considering that the price for a single pour of whiskey often surpassed half the cost of the total bottle. Go for the ambiance and sample a cocktail, and delight at the custom ice cubes. However, if you’re going for the whiskey you’re better off going to the liquor store.
