The Italian beef the best thing I’ve had a long time. The scallop dish was great with the summer corn, the scallops were perfectly cooked but a little over salted. The chefs were running a great kitchen. Cocktails and appetizers were good too.
Reservation via Google map was easy. Atmosphere is quite casual and loud for fine dining but hip and a great vibe. Per reviews and some recommendations, opted to try their hush puppies, crispy fried mushrooms, duck fried rice and steak frites. Of the four, our recommendations are the crispy fried mushrooms (great mixture of textures and citrus note) and the steak frites (cooked to perfection and full of flavor).
This place is sooo cute and classy. A more adventurous menu than I gravitate towards, but boy was I impressed. Family style is 100% the way to go here. We got the pork confi, the peaches and the sausage polenta to start on top of our entrees and those were the stars definitely. I'm a pretty picky eater and these were superb!!! If you're a foodie like my husband, you'll love this place.
Hush Public House was amazing. The service, atmosphere, and food were all exceptional. We had the duck fried rice with duck confit, sesame, scallion, house-made rayu, and a fried egg, along with the Italian beef with braised oxtail, smoked provolone, Chicago-style giardiniera, and brioche. Both dishes were outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant.
