met my friend for lunch and we met up at Hard 8 BBQ, located in The Colony, TX. I have only been to one before approximately 3 yrs ago located in Coppell, TX. We were there for lunch and the parking lot was full and it was hopping mad inside the restaurant. The smell bbq filled the air. This place is neat, very clean and well organized. The best brisket place ever!! It's flavor is amazing. I like this place more than other because the brisket is well balanced, it isn't too full of pepper and spices that make it so heavy, but the flavor is great. All other food is amazing: sausages, turkey, pulled pork, Mac&Cheese. Great to go with your family or by your own.... my new brisket favorite place.
Just completely average overall unfortunately. The Brisket, Ribeye, Jalapeño Sweet Corn were all just good, the sweet potato fries were excellent. The atmosphere was a bit chaotic for us and we had no clue what to do, but any server we encountered was really nice and helpful. The Half Chicken was not good, I could not eat it, gave it to my FIL who had to eat it with beans and pickles.
I love the prime rib they do on Friday / Saturday night and the cheddar jalapeño sausage is my go to! If you’re looking for legit Texas BBQ with big pits, big flavor, and a big atmosphere, Hard Eight is always a solid choice.
