When we first arrived at Goldfinch, the front door was locked despite it being nearly 10:40. After the barista unlocked the door, we placed orders for two hot beverages and a burrito. I got the chai and chorizo breakfast burrito. The chai was so terrible that I couldn’t stomach more than two sips. It tasted like luke warm water being disguised by the copious amounts of cinnamon sprinkled on top. It seems like the barista simply forgot to add the chai concentrate. We checked out The Goldfinch on South Broadway (in the former Euro Crêpes space), and it’s a great new brunch + cocktail addition to the neighborhood — bonus points for having its own parking lot, which is rare for this stretch. I ordered the Speed Queen (their espresso martini twist) — bold and balanced. We have come here for drinks in the past but decided to try brunch after getting a text about their new wknd brunch special. Totally worth the hype! We had a large group so we got every entree option on & off the menu & it was all amazing! As someone who doesn’t eat pork, breakfast/brunch can be a challenge to get flavorful/not boring options but Goldfinch had plenty! While our waiter was apparently just a friend of the restaurant; he was wonderful. We had such a great time & left very happy!
Love the Goldfinch! Matt made my cappuccino with attention and was friendly and happy to welcome me in, to boot. Just moved to the neighborhood and am so happy to have a relaxed (and pretty) place to work and enjoy some good espresso.
Such a cute place! Matt was wonderful, he checked on me multiple times and was attentive to my needs. Great place to have brunch, read, get work done,—as well as a date, lounge or do happy hour with friends. So happy I stumbled upon Goldfinch.
