We stopped by City Tacos for a late afternoon meal after already having lunch earlier, and it ended up being such a fantastic spot! The food was great and very reasonably priced. We tried a few different varieties of tacos, but my absolute favorite was hands-down the carnitas! Juicy, perfect amount of fat, and cooked to perfection. Delicious and unique, inventive tacos, friendly staff, and such a fun place to hang out. Lots of outdoor seating with tons of shade. There were bubbles flying around when we got here and they have some games as well as an actual dog playground, which I've never seen anywhere before. Very cool. In from out of town and from out of town and found City Tacos. We really enjoyed this place! Tacos were great and we had both the fish and carne asada. Great selection of tacos and salsas to try. Staff was friendly and efficient with our order. Free water for patrons. Outside seating area is charming. Very affordable!
Tacos and beers were good. Unfortunately our meal was interrupted many times due to kids running around and using our table area as a jungle gym, throwing shoes at each other and screaming. I know the restaurant has no control over this and it’s the parent’s responsibility…but it was super annoying.
I tried both Encinitas and OB on the same day. That tells you how irresistible the tacos are. The variety of versions, are many. I know I tried a shrimp with chipotle and the Sorona fish taco on corn tortillas. Their guac and chips are a good app and loved the flavorful salsa's. City tacos in LA too. Bring the children, they have a garden and games to occupy them. The service is absolutely wonderful, keep up the heart smiles. Difficult parking in OB, but not in Encinitas.
